My jewellery is heading to the South Australian desert!
I am so excited to be working on a small collection of opal jewellery for Andamooka’s up and coming creative community hub, Andamooka Yacht Club. (Yes, you read right. A yacht club in the middle of the desert).
Opening in late August, Andamooka Yacht Club will host a tourist information point, cafe and gallery showcasing the work of artists and metalsmiths featuring the town’s famous opal.
Andamooka is Australia’s original opal mining town, a small place that grew along a dry sandy riverbed. The town was established in 1930 and continues to produce opal that is considered by experts to be the most stable in the world.
Thank you Matilda and Kurt for giving me this wonderful opportunity to showcase my work in this beautiful remote Australian town. I cannot wait to visit! A huge thank you to also goes out to Helmet for always finding me the most amazing white opal Andamooka has to offer.
Stay tuned for more!
