I met Dr Nikki Stamp in March 2016 at the inaugural ‘Women With Heart Luncheon’ hosted by the National Heart Foundation. On the day, Nikki spoke to the audience about heart disease in women, the risks factors associated with heart disease, and pushed every single person in the room to visit their Doctor for a simple hearth health check. Her words about awareness have stuck with me ever since.
Dr Nikki Stamp not only saves lives around the country as one of Australia’s 11 female cardiothoratic surgeon (heart an lung surgeon) but is also an inspiring advocate for health and women and is using her voice and incredible knowledge to educate us, to help us live healthier and happier lives.
It was so wonderful to see Dr Nikki Stamp on ABC’s Catalyst last week. In this episode (wearing the yellow gold “From the Heart” necklace I made for her) Nikki took us into the amazing world of our hearts, explored the latest scientific advancements on repairing broken ones, and educated us on the simple steps we can all take to care of our very own.
Thank you Nikki for sharing your incredible wealth of knowledge and passion with us all!
