Earlier in the year, Angela came to me with something special – her late mum’s engagement ring. It held so much meaning for her, and I felt really honoured to be asked to help give it new life.
We kept the heart of it, the centre diamond, and reimagined it into a pendant she can now wear every day. It still holds the essence of the original ring, with six delicate claws echoing the old setting. Even the soft semi-circle profile from the ring’s side view found its way into the new design – a subtle detail, but one that keeps the memory close.
The six tiny side diamonds weren’t left behind either. I melted down the gold from the original ring and shaped it into a small white gold pebble – organic and imperfect, in the best way. Those little diamonds now sit nestled inside, forming a charm that’s gentle and full of feeling.
This piece isn’t just jewellery. It’s a connection to her Mum, to the past, and to the love that still lives on. I feel very lucky to have been part of that.
These are the moments I cherish most in my work… when the pieces tell stories that go far beyond what’s visible.
