ABOUT CHRONOS

Χρόνος (Chrónos) · Ancient Greek, noun. Time; the passing of moments.

The Chronos Necklace by Marina Antoniou is a contemporary piece that honours the journey of life. Inspired by the fluidity of heartbeat lines and the flowing forms of arteries, the design takes shape as a golden wave.

The Chronos: Line of Light necklace was created as a natural extension of the original concept. Rather than emphasising motion, it captures time through continuity and light. It expresses the same idea of life’s journey from a different perspective: instead of movement, this version celebrates time captured in light.

This design was deeply personal for me. In my early twenties, I faced unexpected health challenges that forever shaped the way I see life. Living with a genetic blood-clotting condition made me realise how fragile our health can be and how precious our time truly is.

Created as both a piece of fine jewellery and a symbol of purpose, the Chronos: Line of Light Necklace was designed in support of the Heart Research Institute, an internationally recognised medical research facility that performs groundbreaking cardiovascular research.

Aligned with the Heart Research Institute’s mission – to give people impacted by cardiovascular disease more time with the people they love – this piece is more than adornment. It is an invitation to spark conversations, to share stories and to hold time close to our hearts.
