My jewellery was recently featured on the pages of the local publication, Australian Traveller. To see my passion for Australian gemstones showcased and celebrated in such a way is really quite special to me.

The article, by writer Elizabeth Whitehead talks about the raw gemstones that lie within the Australian landscape. She talks about how “the rich, primeval geology of the landscape has birthed vast deposits of precious stones that span the colour spectrum, from honey-hued agate to iridescent opals.”

As I shared in the feature, Australian gemstones hold a special place in my heart. Each stone, with its unique colour and pattern, serves as a wellspring of creative inspiration. Whether it’s the greens of Queensland chrysoprase, the sunset shades of South Australian opals, or the earthy tones of Argyle diamonds from Western Australia. And of course there is mention of Australian sapphires, one of my favourite gemstones to work with… “luminous, kaleidoscopic, quintessentially Australian.”

Featured alongside the article is my Lichen Cluster Ring (below top left) from my most recent collection, NEPTUNE. The Lichen Cluster ring features bright Argyle cognac diamonds, Australian sapphires and an Australian zircon radiating out on a brushed 18ct yellow gold band. Also featured is the Lichen Surface Ring (below top right), featuring Australian yellow sapphires and cognac Argyle diamonds sprawling across a hand-carved organic form, like seaside lichen growing over rock pools. Finally, one of my favourite images by photographer Myles Pritchard features model Paris Newman wearing the Seagrass Meadow Necklace (below bottom left) Seagrass Meadow Studs (below bottom right) and Seagrass Meadow Ring.

Handcrafting each jewellery piece in my Sydney studio is a labour of love, and the process of bringing together gemstones from all corners of the country and curating them into a single piece is something truly special.

Over the years, I’ve dedicated myself to creating jewellery exclusively from Australian gemstones, honouring the unparalleled beauty and rich diversity found within my homeland’s natural treasures.
